We’ve combined everything we love most: skate sessions with expert coaches, surf lessons at Bali's world-famous beaches, daily yoga to help your body recover, and plenty of time to relax, connect, and explore Bali.

Whether you're new to skating, keen to level up your surf skills, or just craving a proper break from daily life, this retreat is designed to recharge you and help you hit the ‘reset’ button. Our home for the week is perfectly located in Uluwatu — moments away from stunning beaches, local skate spots, and surf breaks. Every detail is designed to help you unwind and enjoy.

Our Balinese Jungle Home 🌿

Our epic home is the perfect base for a week of yoga, skating, and surfing in the Bali sunshine.

🌿 Moments away from white-sand beaches and some of Bali’s most famous surf breaks, Uluwatu local gems, and of course, our local skate park.

Our day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 - Soft Landing ✈️

Arrive anytime after 2pm and settle in for an unforgettable week. Join us at 5pm for a welcome drink and dinner, and to meet your new friends. Unwind with a fresh coconut in hand, watching the sun set over the Indian ocean. After a dinner of Indonesian specialties, join us for restorative yoga to recover from your day of travel.

Day 2 - Skate & Explore 🛹

We kick off our first full day together with some skating! Our amazing instructors will take you through a skate theory and mobility for skaters workshop to get your body ready, before heading to our local surfskate park (just 5 minutes away!). Last but not least, we'll head into town in the evening for a special Balinese surprise.

Day 3 - Surf Day 🌊

Time to hit the beach for our surf lesson! Our local instructors will take you to one of Bali's most stunning beaches to catch your first waves. Back at the bungalows, wind down by the pool and spend time with your new mates. As the day comes to a close, join us for some stretchy 'surf recovery' yoga as the sun sets on the horizon.

Day 4 - Boat Day 🐠

After a beautiful breakfast spread, we set sail to neighbouring islands on our private boat. Snacks and tunes are served up on board, and you can let your hair down as we swim, snorkel, and explore the incredible coastline. Back at the bungalows with golden skin and salty hair, wind down and get ready for really good sleep!

Day 5 - Skate & Recover 🛹

Time to slow down the pace even more. You’ve got the morning free to explore or indulge in some more rest and recovery (did someone say Balinese massage?). In the afternoon, we'll head to the skate park to practice our skate skills together.

Day 6 - Surf & Sunset 🌊

Last full day together, so let's make it a good one! Kick off the day with a surf lesson to fine-tune your skills. Enjoy a free afternoon to revisit your favourite beach, skate spot, or coffee shop one more time. As the day begins to fade, it's time to get your best fit on as we head out for sunset dinner and drinks in Uluwatu, to celebrate our last evening together.

Day 7 - Strangers Turned Friends 👯‍♀️

As we close out this incredible week, we'll enjoy one more morning of yoga together, and a special closing ceremony to look back on the moments we shared. Whether you're home-bound or heading onwards to explore more of Bali, remember it's not goodbye, it's see you on the next adventure!

Chloe Kourga

Co-host & Yoga Teacher

Chloe is a passionate skater, but also a Nike yoga teacher, mobility coach, fitness instructor, and breathwork guide. Put simply: she's here to help you relax, breathe, stretch, and recover during the retreat. When she's not on yoga mat, Chloe is hosting skate events, leading yoga trainings and retreats. Uluwatu is her home-away-from-home, and she's excited to share this piece of paradise with you!

Brandon DesJarlais

Co-Host & Skate Instructor

A lifelong skater, community builder, and coach, Brandon has spent years helping people unlock their potential on a board. From coaching at international skate camps to leading Beyond the Board’s national skate events, he brings a unique mix of technical expertise, silly-goose-energy, and a deep passion for the sport. His mission? To make skating more accessible, joyful, and transformative for every rider.

When she’s not skating, Line is salsa dancing and travelling the world (she speaks 6 languages fluently!). A 'skate camp regular', she hosts The Longboard Camp in Portugal and her own language and surf camps. Our bet is she'll be fluent in Bahasa by the end of the week… How do you say “sea, skate & sun” in Bahasa?

Aidyn is all about connecting with community, capturing moments, and seeking out adventure. When she's not cruising the beach with Los Angeles-based skate community Vibe Ride LA, you can find her getting outside (and going on side quests). Adventures, community, and cameras are her vibe, and she’s hyped to create and capture some memories during this retreat!

General questions:

  • Absolutely! Travelling alone is a great way to meet new people, and many people will be coming solo. On this trip, the organising team and guests are all in it together, and you’ll be part of the group from the moment you arrive. Your hosts have years of experience in hosting group events and retreats, and there will be many opportunities to bond and make connections.

  • Yes, participants must be 18 or over unless accompanied by an adult.

  • If you are traveling alone and would like to share a room, we will do our best to match you with another solo traveller that you’ll love. Please let us know if you have any special requests or considerations.

  • Yes! Daily breakfast and 4 dinners are included, all freshly made for our group by our Balinese chef (you have free reins for the remaining 2 dinners to go crazy on Western food, if you wish!). We can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and other dietary restrictions—just let us know your needs in advance.

  • The retreat covers most expenses, but you’ll want to budget for lunch, extra snacks, drinks, or optional activities during free time. Two dinners aren’t included, to give you more choice and freedom throughout the week (and maybe indulge in that burger you’ve been craving!). The retreat also doesn’t include your flights, travel insurance, visa, etc.

  • You’ll need to fly to Denpasar Airport in Bali (airport code DPS).

    Plan to arrive before 1:00pm on Saturday, September 27th. If you fly into Bali on September 27th, we can collect you from the airport for a complimentary transfer to the venue.

  • We recommend arriving to Denpasar airport before 1:00pm on Saturday, September 27th, and leaving no sooner than 3pm on Friday, October 3rd.

    This will ensure you’re on time for the start of the activities on the first day, and give you enough time to have a slow morning with us on the last day.

  • You’ll need a tourist visa for Indonesia. We recommend getting the 30-day tourist visa VoA (Visa on Arrival), which is around £30 per person.

  • Yes. If you’d like to extend your stay, we can help you arrange extra nights at the retreat venue. Rates are around £100/night. We will put you in touch with the retreat centre so you can book directly with them.

Activities:

  • Absolutely! This retreat is an opportunity to explore new hobbies, and everything will be accessible to beginners, with options for more advanced yogis/surfers/skaters too.

  • We’ll be organising 2 skate lessons of 2 hours each throughout the week, with the option to stay longer at the skatepark after these sessions if you’re an avid surfskater! There will be 2 half-days of surfing during the retreat.

  • Absolutely! The schedule includes dedicated free time so you can discover more of Uluwatu and the Bukit peninsula. If you'd like to explore more of the island, we recommend extending your stay by a few days before or after the retreat. Our team would be more than happy to recommend some itineraries around this beautiful island.

  • We’ll adjust the schedule accordingly. The only outdoor activities that are planned during the retreat are the surfing lessons and the boat day excursion, and there is flexibility to adjust the schedule to ensure you get the best experience. The skatepark is fully covered, and we organise car transfers to all activities to ensure you get there safe and dry.

  • We've got all of the equipment you'll need for activities: rental surfskates, protective gear, surf equipment, rash guards, yoga mat. Simply pack your personal belongings. A full Bali packing list will be emailed to you once you sign up, to help you pack.

    Pro tip: You will receive some goodies during the retreat, so make sure to leave a bit of extra space in your bag ;)

  • This retreat involves skating, yoga, movement workshops, and surfing, so expect moderate physical activity. However, all activities are adaptable to your comfort level, and you're always welcome to skip any activity and prioritise rest.

  • Safety is always our priority, and we provide safety gear for all skate lessons. However, you are responsible for your own travel and health insurance in case of accidents.
